Overview: A painter lives with his patron (soon to be lover) in her fairytale-like Château. But it's 1914, and duty calls. Jacques becomes a hero, and gets married with another girl ,Louise Liègeois; his former mistress is not prepared to accept it and interferes in the couple's life, demanding a portrait of her as a Valkyrie.
