Overview: A reserve officer spends his vacation in Poros and falls madly in love with a girl. However, his uncle informs him that he must leave for the Korean War. During his absence, his beloved refuses to obey her father's orders to marry another man and takes refuge in a monastery, where she falls seriously ill. The officer returns from the war, and his beloved dies in his arms. He will willingly follow her into death.
