Overview: Moritz and Eva Jung's marriage is in crisis. Moritz is tormented by feelings of guilt, but is unable to talk about it with Eva, who keeps urging him in vain to open up to her. Realizing that the marriage has failed, volcanologist Moritz accepts an offer to carry out scientific research on Tenerife. In the volcanic landscape of Mount Teide, Moritz tries to say goodbye to the past. He meets the ranger Sophia.
