Overview: Cagliari. It is the day before Christmas Eve in 1985 when the owner of a wine shop is killed with three gunshots for a few hundred thousand lire. The judiciary needs a culprit, the city needs illusory security. A few days after the murder, Aldo is arrested. His crime is his past as a heroin addict, which is well known to the police, who accuse him on the basis of flimsy and specious evidence. Aldo, who is innocent, spends six months in solitary confinement before taking his own life.
